What is an EPC and why do I need one?

An energy performance certificate (EPC) is essential for assessing a property's energy performance, providing legal compliance for sales and rentals, and offering recommendations for cost-saving improvememnts.

It has been a legal requirement since 2008 and rates the the property on a scale from A-G with A being the most efficient. The certificate also gives and understanding of expected energy costs and guidance on how to lower those costs.

Properties with a higher rating are more attractive to both buyers and tenanats.
